Here's what data we collect, why, and how to opt out — without legal jargon.

What we collect
  • 01
    Newsletter — email address

When you subscribe to the newsletter we send your email address to Resend Audiences, where the subscriber list lives. We use it to send the newsletter — nothing else. Hit the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email and you're off the list immediately; you can also write to privacy@fasciaguide.com. We retain the address while you're subscribed and remove it on unsubscribe.

  • 02
    Admin sign-in

Editors sign in with a magic link sent through Auth.js + Resend. This applies only to the small internal staff — not to public visitors. The session cookie is set after sign-in only and never touches users of the public site.

  • 03
    Chat conversation logs

When you chat with our guide, we store the conversation server-side against an anonymous session ID. It's what lets the chat remember what you just asked, and it helps us improve the answers. Logs are deleted after 90 days.

  • 04
    Cookies, statistics & marketing

With your consent, we use cookies for statistics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) and marketing (Meta pixel, Google Ads), plus embedded media (YouTube, Spotify, Vimeo, PodBean). None of it loads before you've consented — consent is managed by Cookiebot and you can withdraw it any time. The full list is in the cookie policy.

  • 05
    Server logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps short-lived access logs — IP address, path, timestamp — for roughly 30 days, per their standard. We use them to debug and stop abuse, nothing else.

What we don't do
  • 01

No advertising or statistics cookies load before you've given consent.

  • 02

We don't sell or share our email lists with anyone.

  • 03

You can decline statistics and marketing and still use the whole site.
