Privacy
Here's what data we collect, why, and how to opt out — without legal jargon.
- 01Newsletter — email address
When you subscribe to the newsletter we send your email address to Resend Audiences, where the subscriber list lives. We use it to send the newsletter — nothing else. Hit the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email and you're off the list immediately; you can also write to privacy@fasciaguide.com. We retain the address while you're subscribed and remove it on unsubscribe.
- 02Admin sign-in
Editors sign in with a magic link sent through Auth.js + Resend. This applies only to the small internal staff — not to public visitors. The session cookie is set after sign-in only and never touches users of the public site.
- 03Chat conversation logs
When you chat with our guide, we store the conversation server-side against an anonymous session ID. It's what lets the chat remember what you just asked, and it helps us improve the answers. Logs are deleted after 90 days.
- 04Plausible — privacy-friendly analytics
We use Plausible for plain visitor stats: which pages were read, where traffic came from. Plausible sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and shares nothing onward. No fingerprinting.
- 05Server logs
Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps short-lived access logs — IP address, path, timestamp — for roughly 30 days, per their standard. We use them to debug and stop abuse, nothing else.
- 01
No third-party advertising trackers. No adtech pixels. No retargeting scripts.
- 02
We don't sell or share our email lists with anyone.
- 03
No browser fingerprinting, no cross-site profiling.
You can ask at any time to see, correct, receive a copy of, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email privacy@fasciaguide.com — we respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) if you feel we haven't met our obligations.
