Neil Theise is professor of pathology at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He is a pioneer of adult stem cell plasticity and the anatomy of the human interstitium. He is also a longtime student of Zen and has explored the intersection of science and spirituality.

Neil Theise is a diagnostic liver pathologist and adult stem cell researcher. In this field he is a respected authority and has contributed significantly to our understanding of the anatomy of the human interstitium and the potential for adult stem cell plasticity.

He has authored several books, including “Notes on Complexity: A Scientific Theory of Connection, Consciousness, and Being" (2023). This book explores the science of complexity theory and its potential for understanding the connections between consciousness, being, and the universe.
