In our culture, we struggle to understand the living. Research, especially on water, fascia, and gut flora, is forcing us to reconsider previously held truths about how things work.
We have learned to separate, categorize, and clearly define different parts to the extent that we see our own body as an object, as a thing – and not as the place where WE take place.
But when the boundary between body and mind blurs, the possibility for a new understanding opens up.
What does it mean for our understanding of why we do what we do when bacteria in the gut can literally control our behavior? How are we physically affected by, for example, desire, ambition, or addiction?
… and how does it feel in the body to harm someone?
