113. Is there research on this?

We've been asked this question countless times, and the follow-up question is always—research on what? On the existence of Fascia? On the function of Fascia? On Fascia treatment? Or perhaps on the effect of different machines? On how healing works in the body, or maybe on different individuals' ability to heal?

Modern Western understanding of the body is based on knowledge of its different parts, and established scientific research is based on empirical studies, experiments, clinical studies, often so-called double-blind tests, and statistical analysis in relation to a theory.

The anatomical and physiological studies of Fascia are based on the same procedures but also show that a focus solely on understanding the parts is not enough to understand fascia's role in the body as a living whole.

But what does that really mean, and how is research conducted?

How does all this relate to the existing research on Fascia, physical treatment, and the body's ability to heal?

We cover that in episode 113 of the Fascia Guide.

But the simple answer is YES, there is a lot of research on "this"—for those interested in thinking for themselves and understanding what knowledge actually is.

Participants in this episode are Axel Bohlin, Per Johansson, and Camilla Ranje Nordin.
