Is Fascia a system, an organ, or just the membrane around muscles?
At the end of 2024, a research report was published that sparked a major debate in the world of fascia:
Fascia is not an organ as has been said since 2017/2018 – it is much bigger than that. Fascia is a system, like the nervous system or the lymphatic system, consisting of four organs.
Meanwhile, in Sweden, fascia was being talked about as a new buzzword, or even a fad, and is described as “the thin membrane around the muscles”.
How can this be – and how should fascia really be defined?
Participants in this episode are Axel Bohlin, Hans Bohlin, and Hanna Ålander
